How MarketLiberiAll, Inc. collects, uses, and protects personal data on Maittes, Quick Market, Maittes Services, Maittes Homes, and Maittes GO.
Coffee Farm, Caldwell, Montserrado County, Republic of Liberia
MarketLiberiAll, Inc. ("we," "our," or the "Company") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal data of customers, vendors, Maittes GO Couriers (independent contractors engaged under the Maittes GO Courier Agreement), website visitors, and diaspora users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and share personal information when you interact with the Platform at marketliberiall.com, maittes.com, related mobile apps, APIs (including api.marketliberiall.com and api.maittes.com), and services. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
Creating an account or using the Platform is not, by itself, consent to optional processing such as marketing. We rely on the legal bases in Section 3. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time.
Acting Data Protection Officer. Until the Board appoints a dedicated Data Protection Officer, the Founder, S. Emuranah Abubakar Feika, acting as Chief Executive Officer, is the acting DPO. Contact: [email protected] (public). That mailbox is received via [email protected].
2.1 Data you provide
Account registration: full name, email address, phone number, date of birth (to confirm you are eighteen (18) or older), password. Delivery information: delivery address, GPS coordinates during an active delivery session. Payment information: mobile-money account number, transaction history (we do not store card PINs or full card numbers). Vendor KYC: government-issued identification, business registration documents, address proof, and beneficial-ownership information where required. Communications: messages to Customer Support, product reviews, and feedback. Diaspora users: the same account data, plus any payer identity we collect when you send goods or value to a recipient in Liberia.
2.2 Data collected automatically
Device and technical data: device model, operating-system version, unique device identifiers, IP address. Usage data: pages visited, features used, search queries, order history, session duration. Location data: approximate location for delivery-zone validation and logistics.
2.3 Data from third parties
Mobile-money providers: payment confirmation and transaction status. Social-login providers (if used): email address and display name only. Sanctions and politically-exposed-person screening providers, when we screen vendors or higher-risk payers.
We process personal data only where we have a valid legal basis. Where Liberian law later enacts a comprehensive data-protection statute, we will align this Policy to that statute. Until then, these bases are our contractual and good-practice commitments, and they support processing needed to perform electronic contracts under the Liberia Electronic Transactions Law of 2002.
Consent. We process certain data (for example marketing communications and optional profile fields) on the basis of your freely given, informed, and unambiguous consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing [email protected] or using in-product opt-outs. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
Performance of a contract. Most data (name, address, payment details) is necessary to process orders, coordinate Maittes GO delivery, manage your account, and operate Quick Market, marketplace, Maittes Services, or Maittes Homes bookings you request.
Legal obligation. We process transaction records and KYC documents as required by applicable Liberian law, including tax reporting to the Liberia Revenue Authority, the Money Laundering Prevention Act of 2012, and any court order or lawful governmental request.
Legitimate interests. We process certain data for fraud detection, platform security, and aggregate analytics, provided those interests are not overridden by your data-protection rights.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as follows:
With Vendors (marketplace orders): your delivery name, address, and order details, solely for fulfillment.
With Maittes GO Couriers: your delivery address and contact number, solely to complete the delivery. Couriers are independent contractors bound by confidentiality under the Maittes GO Courier Agreement.
With service providers: cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics, and sanctions-screening vendors, bound by contracts restricting secondary use.
With government authorities: when required by Liberian law, court order, or regulatory request.
In a business transfer: if the Company is sold or merged, data may transfer as part of that transaction, with notice to you where practicable.
The Company is established in the Republic of Liberia. Some technology providers (cloud hosting, email, analytics, or payment partners) may store or process data on servers outside Liberia, including in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or other countries where those providers operate.
When data is transferred outside Liberia we: (a) transfer only to providers that contractually commit to appropriate confidentiality and security; (b) require data-processing terms that restrict use to our instructions; and (c) will notify you of a material change to the countries of storage where practicable.
If you are a diaspora user located in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere and you use the Platform to buy goods for delivery in Liberia, we process your data as a Liberian controller offering goods and logistics into Liberia. You may contact the acting DPO at [email protected]. If a foreign data-protection law applies to you personally, we will consider requests made under that law in good faith, without admitting that we are established in that jurisdiction.
Account and transaction data: five (5) years from last transaction (tax and audit). Delivery logs: two (2) years. Vendor KYC documents: five (5) years from account closure (AML). Customer-support records: three (3) years. Marketing opt-in data: until you withdraw consent. You may request deletion of your account at any time. We will delete personal data subject to legal retention obligations.
Illustrative retention windows, subject to legal change and holds, are as stated in this section. Order, tax, accounting, AML/CFT, dispute, and payment records are not wiped on a 90-day schedule.
Subject to applicable Liberian law, you may: (a) access a copy of the personal data we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data; (c) request erasure, subject to legal retention; (d) object to marketing at any time; and (e) request your data in a structured, machine-readable format where technically feasible. Exercise these rights at [email protected].
We implement technical and organizational measures including HTTPS/TLS in transit, encrypted storage where practicable, role-based access, and incident-response procedures. Files and documents submitted for listings, KYC, disputes, support, delivery evidence, or account records go through the platform object-storage pipeline: upload intent, quarantine, malware scanning, validation, processing, and review where required before final use. The Platform does not accept SVG files for user or partner uploads. No system is completely secure. If you suspect unauthorized account access, contact [email protected] or [email protected].
If a personal-data breach is likely to result in a risk to affected individuals, we will: (a) contain and assess the incident; (b) notify affected users within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware, or as promptly as practicable thereafter, by registered email and/or in-app notice, where we can identify and reach those users; (c) notify authorities where Liberian law requires; and (d) describe, as fully as we reasonably can, the nature of the breach, types of data affected, likely consequences, and measures taken. The seventy-two-hour commitment is a best-effort standard. We cannot guarantee individual notice where users cannot be identified or located.
The Platform is not directed to persons under eighteen (18). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. We do not offer accounts to persons aged thirteen (13) through seventeen (17). If you believe a minor has registered, contact [email protected] for deletion, subject to legal holds.
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or registered email at least fourteen (14) days in advance where practicable. Continued use after the stated effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy, except that we will not rely on continued use alone as consent for optional marketing or non-essential cookies.
Acting Data Protection Officer: S. Emuranah Abubakar Feika, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, until a dedicated DPO is appointed.
